Hot Idle Compensator (Non Comp. Controlled): Testing and Inspection

1.

Ensure valve is in closed position when bimetal temperature is less than 145---160°F.

2.

With valve closed, suck air through hose. If excessive air leakage is found, replace idle compensator as an assembly.

3.

When bimetal temperature exceeds approximately 160°F, ensure valve is open. If not, replace idle compensator as an assembly.
