Remove vacuum diaphragm rod and O-ring from transmission body.

Measure N dimension, Fig. 13, using tool 49G032355 or equivalent and a scale.

Select proper diaphragm rod, Fig. 14. Excessive shift shock and improper shifting often indicate a vacuum diaphragm malfunction. Remove
approximately 1 quart of transmission fluid before removing vacuum diaphragm.
