Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
To position the oil seal on the timing gear cover, use the oil seal puller & installer (49 0559 205).
Replacing timing gear cover oil seal.
1. To remove the timing gear cover oil seal, press out the old seal with the oil seal puller and installer (49 0559 205).
2. To install the timing gear cover oil seal, apply engine oil onto the outside of a new seal and press fit the seal with the oil seal puller and
installer until the installer comes in contact with the cover.
