Accelerator Pump: Testing and Inspection

Remove air cleaner assembly.

With choke plate open, look down the throat of the carburetor and with moderate speed, open the throttle valve by hand.

A small steady stream of fuel should be seen squirting from the accelerator pump discharge nozzle while throttle is being opened.
If not, accelerator pump circuit is not working properly or fuel level in float bowl is too low. Check fuel pressure and volume at carburetor inlet. If
fuel delivery to the carburetor is Ok, carburetor overhaul is necessary.
