B Series Truck 2WD L4-2184cc 2.2L 2200 2-bbl (1990)
Choke Unloader Adjustment
1.
With the choke cold, fully open the primary throttle valve.
2.
Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between choke valve and air horn.
0.110" - 0.143" (2.8mm - 3.62mm)
If clearance is not within specified range, adjust by bending tab "A" (see illustration).
COLD START FAST IDLE SPEED
1.
With the engine and choke cold, open and close the throttle valve, setting the throttle lever on the HIGHEST step of the fast idle cam.
2.
Connect tachometer.
3.
Start engine and check that fast idle speed is within specified range.
Approximately 3,000 rpm
If not, adjust by turning fast idle adjusting screw.
4.
After making any necessary adjustments, momentarily open throttle wide open and release. throttle lever should come to rest on one of the lower
steps of the fast idle cam, and fast idle speed should drop significantly.
If not, check re-check all automatic choke adjustments.
