Dual Stage Idle-up Servo
If servo does not retract, replace it. If servo retracts but idle speed does not increase to within specified range, disconnect vacuum hose from port "B" of
servo and adjust by turning adjustment screw (see illustration), then repeat test.
VEHICLES WITHOUT A/C

Observe the following conditions.
a. Transmission in park.
b. Engine at normal operating temperature.
c. Engine idling at normal idle speed (800 - 850 rpm).
Idle-Up System

Disconnect manifold vacuum hose from idle-up solenoid at point "A" (see illustration) and connect directly to port on top of idle-up servo
diaphragm. Diaphragm should retract and idle speed should increase to the specified rpm.
920 - 970 rpm
Adjusting Idle-Up Speed
If servo does not retract, replace it. If servo retracts but idle speed does not increase to within specified range, adjust speed by turning adjustment
