Idle Up Control Valve: Testing and Inspection
Idle-Up Solenoid Valve (With Either A/T or A/C)
Idle-Up Solenoid Valve Testing
1.
Warm up engine and run at idle.
2.
Connect tachometer.
3.
Disconnect vacuum hose from servo diaphragm.
4.
Connect intake manifold vacuum directly to servo diaphragm and verify engine speed as follows:
A/T: 920 - 970 rpm
M/T: 1300 - 1500 rpm
NOTE: All accessories should be "OFF."
5.
If out of specification, correct with adjust screw.
