EGR Valve Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Exhaust Gas Recirculation System (EGR)
The EGR position sensor detects the EGR valve lift position and sends a corresponding signal to the ECU. The signal varies from approximately 0.7V at
idle up to 4.7V during driving. The ECU senses the amount of recirculated exhaust gas by the EGR valve lift position and calculates the opening
duration of the vacuum and vent solenoid valves.
