Intake Air Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Remove air cleaner, then disconnect electrical connector from temperature sensor.
2.
Heat air surrounding temperature sensor using a lamp and measure resistance across sensor terminals Fig. 5.
3.
Sensor resistance should measure 5.29---6.47K ohms at 32°F, 2.21---2.69K ohms at 69°F and .265---.359K ohms at 176°F.
