Installing Crankshaft Pulley With SST
11. Using SST 49 S120 710 or equivalent, install crankshaft pulley and torque to 177-196 Nm (130-145 ft.lbs).
12. Install A/C compressor and bracket.
13. Install power steering pump and bracket.
14. Install alternator and bracket and water pump pulley.
15. Install drive belts.
Use Silicone Sealant To Seal Oil Pan
16. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant to the oil pan along the inside of the bolt holes and overlap the ends.
17. Install the oil pan and torque to 7.8-11 Nm (69-95 in.lbs).
18. Thoroughly remove all dirt and oil from the top of the cylinder block with a rag.
Use Silicone On These Areas Prior To Installation
19. Apply silicone sealant to the areas shown.
20. Using a new head gasket, carefully place the cylinder head into position.
21. Apply engine oil to the bolt threads and seat faces.
Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence
22. Tighten the cylinder head bolts in two or three steps in the order shown. Torque to 80-86 Nm (59-64 ft.lbs).
