Idle Speed: Adjustments
PREPARATION
1.
Check engine condition (spark plugs, vacuum hoses, etc.)
2.
Make sure all accessories are "OFF."
3.
Warm engine to normal operating temperature.
4.
Connect tachometer to engine.
ADJUSTMENT
Test Connector
1.
Ground test connector with jumper wire.
2.
Check idle speed.
750 ± 20 rpm
(M/T)
770 ± 20 rpm
(A/T, P range)

3.
If idle speed is not within specification, adjust by turning air adjusting screw.
4.
After adjustment, disconnect test connector jumper wire.
