Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Adjustments
Inhibitor Switch
1.
Disconnect control linkage from manual shaft.
2.
Move manual shaft to "N" position.
3.
Loosen switch mounting bolts.
Inhibitor Switch Adjustment
4.
Align inhibitor switch and manual shaft lever holes by inserting a pin of approximately 0.157 in (4.0 mm) O.D.
5.
Tighten mounting bolts and torque to 22 - 35 in lb (2.5 - 3.9 Nm).
6.
Recheck switch continuity.
7.
If not as specified, replace inhibitor switch.
8.
Connect control linkage and torque manual shaft nut to 22 - 29 ft lb (29 - 39 Nm).
