Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair

1.

Raise rear end of vehicle and place a stand under frame side rail, permitting spring to hang free.

2.

Support rear axle casing in this position using a suitable jack.

3.

Remove rear wheel, then the shock absorber attaching nuts and shock absorber, Figs. 4 and 5.

Remove U-bolt attaching nuts, then the U-bolts, set plate and stopper rubber.

5.

Remove spring pin.

6.

Remove shackle pin and shackle plate.

7.

Remove leaf spring assembly and bushings from vehicle.
