Spark Plug: Service and Repair

SPARK PLUG REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC]

CAUTION:

-

If a spark plug that is not as specified is installed, engine performance will be deteriorated. Install only the specified spark plug when replacing.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the charge air cooler.  See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair

3. Remove the ignition coils.  See: Ignition System/Ignition Coil/Service and Repair

4. Remove the spark plugs using a plug-wrench.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal. 

Tightening torque

-

10-14 Nm {1.1-1.4 kgf-m, 8.0-10 ft-lbf}
