Wiper Switch: Removal and Replacement

Combination Switch Removal/Installation

COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNING:

-

If the negative battery cable or the steering angle sensor connector is disconnected, the stored initial position of the steering angle sensor will be
cleared and the DSC will not operate properly, making the vehicle unsafe to drive. Perform the steering angle sensor initialization procedure after
connecting the negative battery cable.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts: 

a. Driver-side air bag module  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Driver-Side Air

b. Steering wheel  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair

c. Column cover  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair

3. Disconnect the connector.

4. Remove the screws.

5. Remove the combination switch.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

7. Perform the steering angle sensor reference point setting.  See: Sensors and Switches - Brakes and Traction Control/Steering Angle Sensor/Testing

and Inspection/Programming and Relearning

Wiper and Washer Switch Removal/Installation

WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the column cover.  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair

3. Disconnect the wiper and washer switch connector.
