10. Using pliers and the supplied wire taps (A), secure the diode assembly to accessory harness as shown.

NOTE:

Make sure the diode is situated properly before crimping.

11. Verify the concern is no longer present by doing the following:

a. Turn the ignition to ON position for 5 seconds, then back to OFF.

b. Open the door immediately (within 3 seconds).

If no beep is heard and the red key light is not flashing in the instrument cluster, continue to the next step.

If a beep is heard and the red key light is flashing in the instrument cluster, check the orientation of the diode.

12. Using the supplied foam pads, wrap the wire taps and diode to prevent them from rattling.

13. If needed, secure the diode to the harness with the supplied tie wraps.

14. Reinstall the removed parts in reverse order, then wipe the area with a clean cloth.
