FUEL HOSE ROUTING DIAGRAM

Connect the hoses which have been disconnected in STEP 3, PAGE 12.

Final check.
a.
Connect the negative battery cable and start the engine.
b.
Check for fuel leaks.
c.
Check the float level at the sight glass. It must be between the center and the top of the dot. If not, re-adjust.
d.
Turn the engine off and install the air cleaner.
Modified Thermostat & Water Thermo Switch Field Installation Procedures (83 GLC Only)
STEP 1
Inspecting for previously-installed modified Thermostat and Water Thermo Switch.
1)
If the VIN of the vehicle is later than those VIN's below, the modified parts have been installed during production.

Look for a white paint mark on the Thermostat Housing and on the Water Thermo Switch. If a white paint mark is present the modified parts have
already been installed.
