Power Seat Motor: Service and Repair
Front Tilt Motor

FRONT TILT MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Operate the power seat switch and move the seat back to the full-upright position.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the driver's side front seat.
4. Remove the front cover (No.1, No.2) and side cover.(See FRONT SEAT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [L3 WITH TC])
5. Remove the seat cushion.(See FRONT SEAT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [L3 WITH TC])

6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Front Tilt Motor Removal Note
When motor is operable

1. Connect battery positive voltage to front seat connector terminal G and connect terminal F to ground.
2. Operate the power seat switch in the tilt-up direction so that the front tilt motor rotates and the shaft comes out from the guide.

When motor is not operable

CAUTION:  This procedure should be performed when the front tilt motor is replaced with a new one. A front tilt motor removed using this procedure
should not be reinstalled to the vehicle as it may cause abnormal operation or noise.
