Tilt Wheel Switch: Testing and Inspection
AUTO SWITCH CONTINUITY INSPECTION
1. Turn ON the auto switch.
2. Disconnect the connectors between the tilt switch and the CPU.
3. Check for continuity between terminal (A) and terminal (B) of the tilt switch side connector.
4. If there is no continuity between terminals (A) and (B), replace the combination switch assembly.
MANUAL SWITCH CONTINUITY INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the connectors between the tilt switch and CPU.
2. Move the manual switch upward or downward.
3. Check for continuity between terminal (A) and terminal (C) of the tilt switch side connector.

In the upward position there should be continuity between terminals (A) and (C).

In the downward position there should be continuity with 1 kilo ohms of resistance between terminals (A) and (C).
4. If not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.
