Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection
Resistor and Relay Inspection

Resistor

1. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor and relay connector. Measure the resistance between terminals A and B using an ohmmeter.

If not as specified, replace the fuel pump resistor and relay (speed).

Specification: 0.38 - 0.42 Ohms.

Relay

Specification

1. Disconnect the fuel pump resistor and relay connector.
2. Apply battery positive voltage and inspect continuity between terminals of the relay using an ohmmeter.

If not as specified, replace the fuel pump resistor and relay (speed).
