1. While connecting battery positive terminal to terminal D, and battery negative terminal to terminal J. check for continuity between terminal H
and terminal I of the tilt relay side connector.

If not as specified, replace the tilt relay.
TILT RELAY OFF CONDITION, UP SIDE
1. Inspect continuity between terminal A and terminal C of the tilt relay side connector.

If there is no continuity, replace the tilt relay.
TILT RELAY OFF CONDITION, DOWN SIDE
1. Inspect continuity between terminal I and terminal C of the tilt relay side connector.
^
If there is no continuity, replace the tilt relay.
