Steering Gear: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
STEERING GEAR AND LINKAGE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
TIE-ROD END BALL JOINT REMOVAL NOTE
1. Install the Special Service Tool (SST) to the ball joint.
2. Tighten the bolt of the SST to 340 - 360 Nm (34 - 35 kgf-m, 250 - 260 ft. lbs.).
