3. Tap the knuckle as shown.
Caution

Do not tap the ball joint and the stud bolt.

Be careful not to make an edge on the knuckle.
DUST BOOT (LOWER TRAILING LINK) REMOVAL NOTE
1. Remove the dust boot using a chisel, being careful not to damage the ball joint and the arm.
UPPER TRAILING LINK BALL JOINT REMOVAL NOTE
1. Remove the upper trailing link ball joint in the same way as the lower trailing link ball joint.
DUST BOOT (UPPER TRAILING LINK) REMOVAL NOTE
1. Remove the dust boot (upper trailing link) in the same way as the dust boot (lower trailing link).
DUST BOOT (LOWER TRAILING LINK) INSTALLATION NOTE
1. Wipe the grease off the ball stud.
2. Fill the inside of the new dust boot with grease.
