Shift Interlock Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
Shift-Lock Actuator Inspection

SHIFT-LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION 

1. Remove the rear console box and center panel.
2. Shift the selector lever to the P position.

3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (engine off), and inspect for terminal voltage and continuity, referring to the chart. When inspecting for

continuity between terminal h (harness side) and ground, disconnect the connector.

If not as specified, repair the wire harness and/or replace the shift-lock connector.

4. Install the center panel and rear console box.
5. Verify correct operation of the shift-lock system.
