voltage should be 0 volts just after the ignition switch is turned off.  After 2-5 seconds, the voltage should momentarily reach 8-12 volts and then
return to 0 volts.

If as specified, replace the air flow sensor.

If not as specified, check the voltage at the engine control unit terminals "2E", "2I", and "2J", and the related wiring harness.
