Perform a Warranty Vehicle Inquiry using your MDCS System and inspect vehicle for an Authorized Modification Label RECALL 0602D
attached to the vehicle's bulkhead. Refer to illustration.
NOTE:
Be sure to verify RECALL number as the vehicle may have multiple RECALLs.

If MDCS displays RECALL 0602D OPEN and an Authorized Modification Label is not present, the RECALL has not been performed.
Proceed to "B. CORRECTION PROCEDURE OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD (FMVSS) LABEL".

If MDCS displays RECALL 0602D OPEN and an Authorized Modification Label is present, contact the Warranty Department. They will
update the vehicle warranty.

If MDCS displays RECALL 0602D CLOSED and an Authorized Modification Label is not present, proceed to "C. AUTHORIZED
MODIFICATION LABEL INSTALLATION".

If MDCS displays RECALL 0602D CLOSED and an Authorized Modification Label is present, the RECALL has already been completed.
Return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.

If MDCS does not display RECALL 0602D OPEN or RECALL 0602D CLOSED , this RECALL does not apply to the vehicle. Return vehicle
to the customer or inventory.
B.
CORRECTION PROCEDURE OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD (FMVSS) LABEL
NOTE:
Before starting the correction procedure, prepare the following items:

Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) label correction sticker (1 sticker)

Clean dry rag or cloth
^
Isopropyl Alcohol cleaner
1.
Open the driver's door and locate the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) label. The label is attached to the B-pillar above the door
striker.
2.
Apply alcohol cleaner to a clean dry rag or cloth, and clean the surfaces of the FMVSS label.
