This bulletin replaces bulletin Cat. S, 034/95. Make the necessary notation in the 1994 Service Bulletin book.

1993-95 626 / MX-6 with a VIN of 1YVGE****S5338149 and lower.
1992-95 929 with a VIN of JM1HD461*S0402478 and lower.
1989-95 MPV with a VIN of JM3LV52**S0711073 and lower.
All 1987-94 323 / Protege
1995 Protege with a VIN of JM1BA****S0155338 and lower and
JM1BG2***S0835037 and lower.
1992-95 MX-3 with a VIN of JM1EC43**S0407130 and lower.
1990-95 MX-5 Miata with a VIN of JM1NA353*S0612162 and lower.

DESCRIPTION

A rattle noise may be heard from the door handle area while driving the vehicle. The cause of the noise may be loose retaining nuts for the door handle
assembly. The door handle assembly may also feel loose.

The nuts have been modified to prevent this concern. If a customer complains of this noise, inspect the vehicle and repair according to the procedure
below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Verify the complaint.

If the noise is coming from the door handle, proceed to step 2.

If the noise is not coming from the door handle, refer to the NVH manual for troubleshooting instructions.
