Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

Fuel in the fuel system will remain under high pressure even when the engine is not running. Before disconnecting any fuel line release the fuel
pressure to reduce the possibility of personal injury or fire.
1.
Release fuel system pressure as follows:
a. Start the engine, then remove the circuit opening relay connector, Fig. 1.
b. After the engine stalls, turn ignition switch Off.
c. Install the circuit opening relay connector.
