DESCRIPTION
Refrigerant leak problems at the condenser that can not be detected using a leak detector may be caused by a failed o-ring at the block fittings. This may
be caused by misalignment at installation or prior servicing.
NOTE:
Inspection of condensers returned as defective determined that a high number of replacements are due to misdiagnosis.
An improved o-ring has been established to provide increased sealing at the condenser block fittings. If refrigerant leaks can not be located using a leak
detector, follow the repair procedures listed in this bulletin to determine the cause.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Troubleshoot refrigerant leak using the instructions in section U of the workshop manual. If the leak is found, repair as necessary. If the leak is not
found, proceed with the following steps.

Inspect the areas around the block fittings for oil stains. If stains are found, replace the orings with the new part (see below for tightening torque).
If stains are not found, continue to inspect all fittings until the source is located.
3.
After replacing the failed o-rings or part, evacuate and charge the system and perform another leak test.
NOTE:
When replacing o-rings at the block fittings, it is important that the fitting be flush with the condenser during installation. Inspect with a straight edge
to ensure the fitting is flush.
