Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2.
Loosen clamp and remove air duct from airflow meter.
3.
Disconnect electrical connector from airflow meter.

Remove mounting nuts from inside air filter housing and remove airflow meter from vehicle.
5.
Clean all mating surfaces of dirt, gasket material, etc.

6.
Install a new gasket, making sure that pins "A" fit into the holes "B." Install airflow meter to air filter housing. Torque to 5.8 - 8.0 ft.lb (8 - 11
Nm).
CAUTION:If nuts are not tightened properly, they may loosen and damage the engine.
7.
Reconnect air duct and tighten clamp.
8.
Reconnect electrical connector and negative battery terminal.
