1989 - 94 MPV with a VIN of JM3LV52**R0631985 and lower.
DESCRIPTION
Gasoline smell may be entering the passenger compartment The smell may be caused by a break or crack in the nipple of the fuel vapor separator. This
smell may be most evident during high amount temperatures.
To correct this concern, the nipple material has been changed and the lower bracket is eliminated. Customers complaining of the smell should have the
vehicle inspected and it necessary, repaired according to this bulletin.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the rear, right-side trim panel.
2.
Inspect the fuel vapor separator nipple "A" or "B."

If the nipples are cracked, replace the fuel vapor separator with a modified part.

If the nipples are not cracked, inspect the other fuel system components for a possible cause. Repair as necessary.
