Throttle Body: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION:Do not use carburetor cleaner to clean throttle body. Harsh chemicals will dissolve protective coating on throttle valve plates.

^ Operate throttle by hand. Check that throttle valve opens and closes smoothly and does not stick in any position.
^ Check for vacuum leaks at throttle shaft. Repair or replace as necessary.
^ Visually inspect throttle body for dirt, oil or carbon. Clean as necessary.
