CAUTION
Inhaling brake dust is hazardous to your health. Please take every precaution to remove brake dust in a safe manner.
Note 1:
Please observe local laws regarding the cleaning of brake dust.
Note 2:
Be sure that the pistons are not removed from the wheel cylinders.
Step 5. Installation
1.
Transfer the parking brake lever to the new shoes.
2.
Install the modified shoes in the reverse order of removal.
Note 1:
Each set of modified shoes contains interchangeable primary and secondary shoes.

Note 3:
For brake drum inspection criteria, please see recently published brake drum and rotor Service Bulletin. Do not replace brake drums unless absolutely
necessary.
Step 6. Adjustment of Brake Shoes
1.
After installing drums, drum screws, and wheels, depress the brake pedal 2 to 3 times to center the shoes.
