Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection

BAC Valve Port "A"

1.  

Disconnect the air hoses from the air funnel.

2.  

Blow through the BAC valve from port "A" and check the air flow.

Cold engine:  Air flows

Warm engine:  Air doesn't flow

BAC Valve Resistance Test

3.  

Disconnect the BAC valve connector.

4.  

Connect an ohmmeter to the BAC valve Terminals.

5.  

Check the resistance.  It should be 10.8-12.3 Ohms.
