Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

Throttle Sensor Terminal Identification

1.  

Disconnect the throttle sensor connector from the throttle sensor, and connect an ohmmeter between terminals "A" and "D".  The resistance should
be 3.5-6.5 Ohms.

2.  

Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "B" and "D".  

Resistance Check While Opening Throttle

3.  

Gradually open the throttle valve while checking the resistance.  With the throttle valve fully closed, the resistance should be below approx. 1
KOhm.  With the throttle valve fully open, the resistance should be approx. 3.5-6.5 KOhms.

4.  

If not within specifications, loosen the mounting screws and rotate the sensor to adjust.
