Electric Load Sensor: Description and Operation

Central Processing Unit (CPU)

The Central Processing Unit (CPU), located under the left side of the dash, detects electrical loads and signals the ECU to stabilize engine idle.  The
CPU detects these loads:

Load

Condition and Voltage (1H terminal of ECU)

Headlights

"ON" (low or high beam)  .................................................................................................................................................................  0V

Rear defroster

"ON" .................................................................................................................................................................................................  0V

Blower motor

Fan switch high or super high position ..............................................................................................................................................  0V
