6.

Insert the pop rivets through the molding and the vehicle carpet (figure 5).

7.

Install (from the back side of the carpet) 5/16" back-up washers on the rivets.

8.

While holding the back-up washers on the rivets, pop the rivets into place.

9.

Install carpet, side kick panel, and scuff plate to original position.

NOTE:
Make sure the brake and gas pedals maintain the proper clearance.
