Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

    Fuel in the fuel system will remain under high pressure even when the engine is not running. Before disconnecting any fuel line release the fuel
pressure to reduce the possibility of personal injury or fire.

1.

Release fuel system pressure as follows:
a. Start the engine, then disconnect fuel pump connector (on the righthand side of the luggage compartment, near the fuel tank).
c. After engine stalls, turn ignition switch to Off.
d. Reconnect fuel pump connector.
