Throttle Full Close Switch: Testing and Inspection

VARIABLE RESISTOR

Throttle Sensor Terminal Identification

1.   Disconnect throttle sensor connector from throttle sensor.  Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "A" and "C."  Resistance should be 3.5-6.5

kohms.

2.   Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "B" and "D."  

Resistance Check While Opening Throttle

3.   Gradually open throttle valve while checking resistance.  With throttle valve fully closed, resistance should be below approx. 1 Kohm.  With throttle

valve fully open, resistance should be approx. 3.5-6.5 Kohms.

4.   If not within specifications, check throttle sensor adjustment.

1.   Disconnect throttle sensor connector from throttle sensor.
2.   Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "C" and "D".
