Dashpot: Testing and Inspection

With engine not running, open throttle, hold for a few seconds and release. The dashpot should extend fully while throttle is open. Observe that the
throttle lever first comes to rest against the dashpot and slowly closes as the dashpot retracts. If dashpot does not extend when throttle is opened, replace
dashpot. If it does not retract, or retracts fully as soon as the throttle lever contacts it, replace the dashpot.
