DESCRIPTION
It may be difficult to remove the air hose during inspection or repair thus damaging the air hose.
It is extremely important that a damaged air hose not be reinstalled. If the air hose leaks, it will cause abnormal idling conditions.
Mazda has changed the air hose material to prevent this problem. Please use the following procedure when removing the air hose.
Removal Procedure

Loosen the hose clamps completely.

Slightly pry up edge the of the hose at the throttle body.
