ASSEMBLY 

1.

Secure shock absorber in a vise. Insert copper or aluminum plates between shock absorber and jaws of vise. 

2.

Install bump stopper into shock absorber as shown in Fig. 3. 

3.

Install compressed coil spring and spring seat.

4.

Install upper spring seat as shown in Fig. 4. The flat of the shock absorber rod must fit correctly into the upper seat as shown. 

5.

Install tool No. 498531567 as shown in Fig. 4, then install and tighten piston rod upper nut.

6.

Remove piston rod upper nut and tool No. 498531567.

7.

Install the mounting block, then secure spring upper seat in a vise.

8.

Install piston rod upper nut and tighten to specifications.

INSTALLATION 

1.

Install mounting block to suspension tower. Tighten to specification.

2.

Install lower mounting bolts and nuts. Tighten to specifications.

3.

Reconnect brake hose clip and install wheel.
