All 2000 MPVs with VINs lower than JM3 LW**** Y0 146926.
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit corroded or discolored windshield wiper links inside the engine compartment. This may be caused by a poor seal between the
cowl grille and the windshield which allows excessive water to enter the engine compartment. Modified cowl grille packing (foam seal) is now available
to resolve this concern. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer concern.
2.
Remove Windshield Wiper Arms according to Workshop Manual (section 09-19 WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT).
3.
Remove cowl grille according to the Workshop Manual (section 09-16 COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
4.
Remove both left and right corroded/discolored Windshield Wiper Links according to Workshop Manual (section 09-19 WINDSHIELD WIPER
LINK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
5.
Install new Windshield Wiper Links.
6.
Remove old packing from cowl grille.
