BRAKE JUDDER DUE TO RUST ON FRONT DISC PLATE
APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINs
All 2000-2001 MPVs with VINs lower than JM3 LW28** 20 214762.
DESCRIPTION
Some customers may feel judder on the front side of vehicle when applying the brakes. This condition may be caused by:

The vehicle sitting for a long period in areas where road salt is used, rust may appear on the front disc plates causing the judder when the brakes
are applied.

The front brake pads may not be hard enough to brush the rust off the disc plates.
To prevent this condition from happening, the material of the front brake pads has been changed. Customers having this concern should have their
vehicle repaired using the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer concern.
2.
Polish the disc plate and replace the old brake pads with new brake pads according to Workshop Manual (section 04-11 FRONT BRAKE (DISC)
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
3.
Verify repair.
