Evaporator Core: Service and Repair
Rear Cooling Unit Disassembly / Assembly
1. Remove the rear cooling unit.
CAUTION: If moisture of foreign material enters the refrigeration system, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always
immediately plug all open fittings after removing any refrigeration system parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the system.
2. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
CAUTION: To prevent the pipe from breaking, tighten the joint it by using an open-end wrench and a torque wrench.
3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly indicated in the table.
Rear Expansion Valve Assembly Note
1. Apply A/C compressor oil to the O-rings and connect the joints.
2. Assemble the heat-sensing tube as shown in the figure.
NOTE: When installing a new rear evaporator, add ND-OIL8 compressor oil into the refrigeration system.
Supplemental amount: 40 ml (40 cc, 1.4 fl.oz.)
