Band Apply Servo: Testing and Inspection
CAUTION: Applying compressed air to the assembled clutch pack for longer than 3 seconds at a time will damage the seal. Do not apply compressed
air for more than the aforementioned time when testing the system.
PREINSPECTION AND OPERATION
1. Apply compressed air to the oil passage as shown. Air pressure of 392 kPa (57 psi) maximum.
2. Verify that the piston stem moves to the brake band. If not, the D-ring or the oil seal may be damaged or fluid may be leaking at the piston
component. Inspect them, and replace when assembling.
3. If not as specified, replace parts as necessary.
