Boot (8) 
Wrap the splices of the shaft with tape to prevent damaging the boot. Remove the boot and small boot band.

ABS Sensor Rotor (9) 

NOTE:  The sensor rotor does not need to be removed unless you are replacing it.

Tap the ABS sensor rotor off of the drive shaft by using a chisel.

Assembly Note 

ABS Sensor Rotor (9) 
Set a new ABS sensor rotor on the drive shaft in the direction shown, and press it onto the shaft assembly by using the Special Service Tool 
(SST).

Boot (8) 
1. Wrap the shaft splines with tape.
2. Install the wheel-side and differential-side boots, noting the shape and size of each one as in the illustration.
