Wheel Bearing: Testing and Inspection

WHEEL BEARING PLAY 

1. Position a dial indicator against the disc plate. Push and pull the disc plate by hand in the axial direction and measure the wheel bearing play.
2. If the front bearing play exceeds 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) or rear bearing play exceeds 0.57 mm (0.0224 inch), check and adjust the hub nut torque

or replace the wheel bearing and hub component if necessary.
