6. Hold the companion flange by using the Special Service Tool (SST) and remove the companion flange nut.

7. Remove the companion flange by using the SST. Clean the splines.

8. Remove the oil seal.

9. Apply oil to the lip of a new oil seal and install it by using the SST.

10. Apply sealant to the output shaft and install the companion flange by using the SST.
11. Install the rear propeller shaft.
