1. While compressing the clip hooks, remove the selector cable and clip as a unit from the bracket.

Selector Cable Installation Note 
1. Shift the selector lever and manual shaft to P position.

Caution:  Bending the selector cable as shown in the figure will damage the cable and cause it to become loose during shifting. When handling
and installing the selector cable, hold it straight.

2. Install the selector cable to the manual shaft lever so that the spring side of the selector cable end faces upward.
3. Install the selector cable to the bracket securely.
4. Install the selector cable to the steering shaft bracket securely.
5. Install the selector cable to the selector lever bolt.

6. Install nut A onto the selector lever bolt temporarily.
7. Shift the selector lever to P position.

8. Pull the selector lever to the R position side gate of P position, and tighten nut A.

Tightening torque
16 - 22 Nm (1.6 - 2.3 kgf.m, 12 - 16 ft. lbs.)
